The Guitar And The Goat

This past Tuesday, while people in Louisiana and Mississippi struggled just to stay alive, waiting for food, water, and help of any kind that wasn't even yet on the way, what was president George W. Bush doing?

He was playing guitar. In Colorado. [SOURCE].

Yes, his guitar has a presidential seal on it. How cute. I wonder if he calls it Guitar One? I call it a fucking disgrace.

I want to be shocked by the president's misplaced priorities, but how can I be? After all, this is the same president who was A.W.O.L. on the morning of September 11th, 2001. It's the same George W. Bush who sat and read the story "My Pet Goat" with a classroom full of kids even after his aides informed him that the United States Of America was under attack.

Somehow, he got away with it. He claimed to be setting an example of calmness... and the ignorant masses bought it.

Here we are, four years later. Catastrophe strikes America again. But... what's this? "George? Anybody seen George? Helloooooo....?"

When his country needed him the most, where was the president?

Here's where he was.

...Playing guitar.
...Sharing cake.
...Hanging out at his ranch in Crawford.

Come on people! Don't fall for it twice. After all... what's that thing they say in Texas?

"Fool me once, shame on.... shame on you. Ya fool me, can't get fooled again."

- George W. Bush

[SOURCE]

There's a damn good reason why food, water, and military support is only now just beginning to arrive in New Orleans - four days after Hurricane Katrina struck.

The reason is inept leadership.

In time, we will come to find that thousands of people lost their lives because help didn't arrive in time. The question is: will the majority of the American people fall for excuses again?

Baghdad On The Mississippi

With every passing moment, the story of New Orleans just keeps getting worse.

George Bush took us into Iraq with shock and awe. Why aren't we going into New Orleans with even more gusto?

Where is the food?
Where is the water?
Where is the help?
Why were plans not put in place last weekend?
Why hasn't every single available resource already been deployed by now?

Homeland Security my ass.

September first looks an awful lot like September twelfth to me.

Halliburton hired for storm cleanup

The Navy has hired Houston-based Halliburton Co. to restore electric power, repair roofs and remove debris at three naval facilities in Mississippi damaged by Hurricane Katrina.

Halliburton subsidiary KBR will also perform damage assessments at other naval installations in New Orleans as soon as it is safe to do so.

KBR was assigned the work under a "construction capabilities" contract awarded in 2004 after a competitive bidding process. The company is not involved in the Army Corps of Engineers' effort to repair New Orleans' levees.

by Observer Saturday, Sep. 03, 2005 at 8:37 AM

KING GEORGE LEADS GOVERNMENT MASSACRE OF THE POOR AND STARVING

Bush has declared war on New Orleans. His troops are brainwashed they are fighting an insurgency against a starving, desperate underclass!

GREEN LIGHT - "They have M-16s and they're locked and loaded," Governor Kathleen Blanco said of 300 National Guard troops who landed in New Orleans fresh from duty in Iraq. "These TROOPS KNOW HOW TO SHOOT AND KILL, and they are MORE THAN WILLING TO DO SO, and I expect they will."

RACIST URBAN BATTLE - “This place is going to look like LITTLE SOMALIA,” Brig. Gen. Gary Jones, commander of the Louisiana National Guard’s Joint Task Force told Army Times Friday as hundreds of armed troops under his charge prepared to launch a massive citywide security mission from a staging area outside the Louisiana Superdome. “We’re going to go out and take this city back. This will be a COMBAT OPERATION to get this city under control.”

EXTERMINATE THE STARVING - "While some fight the INSURGENCY in the city, others carry on with rescue and evacuation operations."

SOMALIA?! COMBAT OPERATIONS?! INSURGENCY?!!

WAKE UP GODDAMMIT THIS IS A GOVERNMENT MASSACRE!!!!

I've warned all of you before that Bush is an Illuminist and a member of the Order. He [and his family] is [are] totally ruthless and have NO morals or remorse whatsoever. NONE of this should surprise any of you astute readers. He'd shoot his own mother [Barbara "Ma Barker" Bushcorp] in the back and smile about it if he was told his "duty" required it. Allen

Re: Re: Lock and Load ~ War declared on NOLA
One of the major goals of the "elite" has long been population control, aka population reduction. They created the underclass in NO, now they take advantage of wiping it out. Think of Waco, Texas and a mass human sacrifice upon a grid point at a specific time and you will begin to get the idea. At NO this was done on a far larger and grander scale. The energy [of the human suffering, misery, and death] is then channeled and used to specific ends by those who understand and posess the technology needed to do so and have a need for the energy released.  Genocide in America

Talk about CONTROL this video is a must see. The government was not letting the people cross the bridge to the next city where they have electricity, clean water and food. They locked them in the superdome and when they made them evacuate outdoors they were force to just sit there and wait for days and days without food or water.

 Keeping the volunteer physicians OUT

Katrina medical help held up by red tape

Doctors waiting to treat victims in tax-funded, state-of-the-art unit

<SCRIPT language=JavaScript type=text/javascript> Sunday, September 4, 2005; Posted: 5:36 p.m. EDT (21:36 GMT)

BATON ROUGE, Louisiana (AP) -- Volunteer physicians are pouring in to care for the sick, but red tape is keeping hundreds of others from caring for Hurricane Katrina survivors while health problems rise.

Among the doctors stymied from helping out are 100 surgeons and paramedics in a state-of-the-art mobile hospital, developed with millions of tax dollars for just such emergencies, marooned in rural Mississippi.

"The bell was rung, the e-mails were sent off. ...We all got off work and deployed," said one of the frustrated surgeons, Dr. Preston "Chip" Rich of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

"We have tried so hard to do the right thing. It took us 30 hours to get here," he said. That government officials can't straighten out the mess and get them assigned to a relief effort now that they're just a few miles away "is just mind-boggling," he said.

While the doctors wait, the first signs of disease began to emerge Saturday: A Mississippi shelter was closed after 20 residents got sick with dysentery, probably from drinking contaminated water.

Many other storm survivors were being treated in the Houston Astrodome and other shelters for an assortment of problems, including chronic health conditions left untreated because people had lost or used up their medicine.

The North Carolina mobile hospital stranded in Mississippi was developed through the Office of Homeland Security after the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. With capacity for 113 beds, it is designed to handle disasters and mass casualties.

Equipment includes ultrasound, digital radiology, satellite Internet, and a full pharmacy, enabling doctors to do most types of surgery in the field, including open-chest and abdominal operations.

It travels in a convoy that includes two 53-foot trailers, which as of Sunday afternoon was parked on a gravel lot 70 miles north of New Orleans because Louisiana officials for several days would not let them deploy to the flooded city, Rich said.

Yet plans to use the facility and its 100 health professionals were hatched days before Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast, doctors in the caravan said.

As they talked with Mississippi officials about prospects of helping out there, other doctors complained that their offers of help also were turned away.

A primary care physician from Ohio called and e-mailed the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services after seeing a notice on the American Medical Association's Web site about volunteer doctors being needed.

An e-mail reply told him to watch CNN that night, where U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Michael Leavitt was to announce a Web address for doctors to enter their names in a database.

"How crazy is that?" he complained in an e-mail to his daughter.

Dr. Jeffrey Guy, a trauma surgeon at Vanderbilt University who has been in contact with the mobile hospital doctors, told The Associated Press in a telephone interview, "There are entire hospitals that are contacting me, saying, 'We need to take on patients," ' but they can't get through the bureaucracy.

"The crime of this story is, you've got millions of dollars in assets and it's not deployed," he said. "We mount a better response in a Third World country."

Leavitt, U.S. Surgeon General Richard Carmona, and Dr. Julie Gerberding, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, were in Louisiana on Sunday. Gerberding planned to go to Texas, where many evacuees are now housed.

Many other doctors have been able to volunteer, and were arriving in large numbers Sunday in Baton Rouge. Several said they worked it out through Louisiana state officials.

Dr. Bethany Gardiner, a 36-year-old pediatrician who just moved to Santa Barbara, California, from Florida, had been visiting parents in Florida when the hurricane hit.

"I left my kids and just started searching places on the Web" to volunteer, eventually getting an invitation to come to Baton Rouge, she said.

 BLOCKED HAM OPERATORS
http://www.waynemadsenreport.com/

September 2, 2005 -- Who is jamming communications in New Orleans? Ham radio operators are reporting that communications in and around New Orleans are being jammed. In addition, perplexed ham radio operators who were enlisted by the Federal government in 911 are not being used for hurricane Katrina Federal relief efforts. There is some misinformation circulating on the web that the jamming is the resault of solar flares. Ham radio operators report that the flares are not the source of the communications jamming.  If anyone at the National Security Agency is aware of the source of the jamming, from direction finding or satellite intelligence, please discretely contact me at waynemadsendc@hotmail.com (from a private or temporary email account). In this case, the Bush administration cannot hide behind national security and it is the duty of every patriotic American to report such criminal activity to the press. Even though the information on the jamming may be considered classified -- it is in the public interest to disclose it. Also, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is reporting that no aircraft over New Orleans have been fired on over New Orleans or anywhere else in the area. Are the reports of shots being fired at aircraft an attempt by the Bush administration to purposely delay the arrival of relief to the city's homeless and dying poor? The neocons have turned New Orleans into Baghdad on the Mississippi.

New Orleans: Who is jamming communications and why?

UPDATE: We can now report that the jamming of New Orleans' communications is emanating from pirate radio stations in the Caribbean. The noise is continuous and it is jamming frequencies, including emergency high frequency (HF) radios, in the New Orleans area. The radio frequency jammers were heard last night, stopped for a while, and are active again today. The Pentagon must locate the positions of these transmitters and order the Air Force to bomb them immediately.

***

We have just learned from a journalist in Mobile that yesterday, Sprint blocked all cell phone calls from the Gulf Coast region to points north and west. Calls were permitted between Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida but no calls could be made to Washington, New York, or Los Angeles

Are you suggesting my girlfriend is in outer space?

Wrong yet again. Your total lack of comprehension and preceptive senses has never ceased to amaze me and I am comforted to see that you still haven't improved a jot in all these years. Allen
