 El Popester is gonno...
Now we will see what new name the next slimeball leech chooses. According to Malachi, there are 112 Popes in the succession from Peter to the last one who will also be named Peter. #111 is supposed to be "Clement" as I recall. Let's see how this all plays out. Allen

Al, maybe you're the one to ask this. When I was young I used to go to CCD and Mass with some of my Catholc girlfriends even though I am not Catholic. (I even got hit with a yardstick by a nun wearing the old fashioned black and white habits, but that's another story..hehehe) Anyway, I remember it being burned into my memory by some of the little girls that once the last portrait meets the first potrait hanging in the circular room at the Vatican, then the following Pope will be the False Prophet and it will be the beginning of the end. I always thought this to be some sort of Catholic folklore, but as an adult, I had a friend who went to Rome. I told them what I had been told as a child and they came back confirming that there was only one space left for one more portrait in this room (It has a name but cant recall it at the time)

So what do you think, ever hear this?

Christy, I haven't heard that particular one; there are several legends in Catholic lore regarding the final pope and his reign. Another is that the last pope before Peter will be assassinated. The final pope is supposed to be an apostate who presides over the fall of the Church of Rome. At the end, his body will be dragged through the streets of the city, while the Vatican is in flames as angry mobs wreck and loot the ruins. Allen

I found this one Catholic website that actually wrote about it, then I closed the page without bookmarking it. It didn't say too much but stated pretty much what I said except they said there was 6 or 7 spaces left. I don't know why this is so interesting to me, just is.

I got your email on the Rense article about the Pope. One thing is certain, there have been some bad Popes in the past, that's for sure.

I read about alot of that information in my Humanities and Art history textbook

The late one was hardly a saint either: http://www.counterpunch.org/connolly04052005.html I strongly suspect the entire pedophile scandle runs a lot deeper within both the church and secular organizations like the USA goobernment than anyone is comfortable willing to admit. Allen
