 Re: Missing Bodies from Charley??
From the article:

Their specific orders were to secure all the mobile home parks from the local and State authorities, and to seal off these areas from all but 'authorized' personnel.

By the time JEB BUSH arrived on Saturday, this had been fully accomplished in both Charlotte and Desoto Counties. Every County Deputy, city Police Officer, and all other local Emergency Services personnel had been 'relieved' from their mobile home park duties by the Military Police command and re-assigned to other areas.
As part of the operation, a curfew was set into place beginning Saturday evening for all areas affected by Charley. It remains in effect tonight as I finish writing this report.

This is true, and for some reason makes me feel uneasy. When Hurricane Andrew hit years ago, people from everywhere went in to help. This time it's really different. People are told to stay away, not to send down items, but to send money to the RedCross. It's really sanctioned off to any "commoners".

It's really odd you posted this. Right as I began reading this link at Rense, my computer went black and wouldn't come back up even though it said it had 100% connection. So I had to disconnect the outside cable to the modem base and reboot the thing. Anyway, while I was waiting for my husband to mess with it, I watched the news and they were talking about how the death rate was now up to 32. It shocked me because this is the first time I have heard this. They've been saying 16 and now it's 32? Once my computer was up and running, I went back to read where I left off. Talk about freaky. How weird, I thought. What's the deal? Are there too many eye-witnesses so they had to make a quick news story? Weird. This is the first I've heard of this.

Well, it's not THAT odd. i was hacked yet again yesterday and today, both times the IP traced back to IANA.ORG, but the IP was assigned to an "unnamed" "company" with a zip code of 10018. AHEM. Last time, it was to a "company" in Reston, VA. Ahem.

It doesn't surpise me you were pinged. They used to do simple stuff liek that to me all the time till they figured out I was not going to quit, then they started crashing my HD.
And having Zone Alarm does NOT help. They get through it.

What I think is weird is how my husband and I are on the same wireless modem hub. He never has any problems. I go down all the time. Now of course I'm always reading controversial info where my husband just sticks to Nascar. LOL

Not weird at all. I have two puters on a router (wired) and earlier today when they went after me, I was on the kids' puter that is online cause the old man was on this one (which has ZA on it and it is zipped TIGHT and locks down all net activity at the first sign of hack), and the puter I was on went NUTS!!! Everything opening and closing all at once, the mouse going all over, start menu popping up and down, etc. I just reached over and shut the damn thing off before they could do any damage. LOL This computer , though, was fine, except that ZA locked the net access and the old man was in the middle of an Ebay search (and he got POd!!). Since each comp has a unique name, they can get into the network via the hub/router then go directly to the comp they want.

Try changing your comp name and the workgroup name to confuzzle them a bit. :)

Or, you could change it something that will annoy them and let them know you know that they are snooping like I did. *snicker* Or, an old arcane word with numbers thrown in.
