| Re: Moon's Coronation Is this for real or a joke? I don't get it. What's with the cape and crown? ahhh, I think it's a joke...lol

John Gorenfeld, the freelance writer who reported on a "coronation" ceremony held by the Rev. Sun Myung Moon on Capitol Hill, will be Joseph Farah's guests today on his nationally syndicated radio talk show.
As WorldNetDaily reported, dressed in a floor-length cape, Moon was dubbed the king of peace at a ceremony in the Dirksen Senate Office Building attended by several members of Congress March 23.
Moon is the founder of the Unification Church – currently known as The Family Federation for World Peace and Unification.
Presiding over the event, Moon presented the "Crown of Peace" award to a number of honored guests.
Several U.S. members of Congress – Democrats Sen. Mark Dayton of Minnesota, Rep. Danny K. Davis of Illinois, Rep. Sanford D. Bishop Jr. of Georgia; Republicans Rep. Roscoe G. Bartlett of Maryland, Rep. Christopher B. Cannon of Utah, and Rep. Curt Weldon of Pennsylvania – received "Ambassadors for Peace" awards, Berkowitz wrote. There were reportedly 81 members of Congress total at the event.
"Decked-out in a campy floor-length cape, the Rev. Moon was presented with an ornate gold crown and a lifetime achievement award," wrote columnist Bill Berkowitz. "Introduced by a shofar-blowing rabbi, the reverend told the star-studded audience … that a 'new era' had come: 'Open your hearts and receive the secrets that heaven is disclosing in this age through me.'"
The religious leader, sounding like a self-proclaimed messiah, is quoted as saying: "In the context of heaven's providence, I am God's ambassador, sent to earth with His full authority. I am sent to accomplish His command to save the world's 6 billion people, restoring them to heaven with the original goodness in which they were created."
On his radio program yesterday, Farah questioned the use of a taxpayer-supported facility for a religious event.
Farah pointed out the mainstream media failed to report the coronation ceremony. |

| Re: Re: Moon's Coronation This is the same MOON that conducts mind control groups. My best friend had to kidnap her brother OUT of MOON's facility years ago. Literally hire some thugs to go in and get the kid. Took them weeks to get the brother to come around. I cannot believe this is happening. I hope someone makes an issue of this or otherwise it will just drift away as common knowledge. I am ready to get beamed up, haha, anyone want to join me?? Happy Day to you all, Mary Look Up ~ Speak Out |

| Re: Re: Moon's Coronation I've got a photo of him decked out like this in a book from back in the '80s. Unfortunately it is NO joke- he considers himself the messiah.
One interesting thing about the Rev. is that out of his numerous business ventures, he owns (or did last I looked) a large controlling interest in the Korean company PMC. That's Pusan Metallic Cartridge company and they make ammunition- and a bunch of it.

| Re: : Moon's Coronation LOL...Moon and Son, LOL, that was pretty witty. I didn't know that he was the one responsible for the Moonies until you mentioned it. Why would the King of Moonies be hanging around our senators and Capitol Hill doing his ceremonial thang? AOL plastered a picture of him on today's opening page. Arg. I was going to paste the picture and the poll but they changed the opening page. The poll said that 79% were disturbed with Moon's "coronation".
