The "Homeland" When I first heard this term used over two years ago, something about it made me feel uncomfortable. No matter how often this term has been used since, it just doesn't sound right for some reason. What happened to "America" or the "United States". Maybe it's because Homeland seems to imply a sort of central location which is part of a greater empire. Anyone else have thoughts on this?

Re: The "Homeland" I don't like it either. It is drawn straight from the communist/nazi/fascist lexicon. Considering Dumbya's grandfather Prescott Bushcorp's support for Hitler during WW-II, it should come as no surprise where they came up with it.

Yes, I have always had an odd feeling about the name too. My first impression of the term 'Homeland' makes me feel as though it's enforcing a connection with England...as if the Brits secretly own the US and now are publically claiming it.
