It was just black humor. The Israeli forces that have destroyed Rafah have claimed to be looking for tunnels from the refugee camp into Egypt used to smuggle weapons to the PLO. They haven't found a single one yet, just a lot of dead and wounded Palestinians (some of whom are Christians) and destroyed homes and buildings. I suspect Uncle is just following the orders and lead of his real masters.
