Re: Flooding in Your Area Al Pretty heavy rains yesterday, one end of my street flooded but not very deep and was gone in a half hour. Looks kinda like rain again today- really don't need a bunch more tho!

Re: Re: Flooding in Your Area Al Floods are scary. My girlfriend's sister got washed away and died in a flash flood. Be careful Al and get anything important to higher ground. Years ago we had that "No-Name Storm" hit us and everyone was flooded. Luckily, and oddly, my house is right across from the beach but I'm on high ground and we were not affected. But people one street over had their carpets to the road the next day. Talk about a mess. In the city north of me, the No-Name Storm hit them even worse and they had water 4 feet high inside their homes. My girlfriend went into labor and was found standing on her kitchen counter. They had to break the windows to get in because they couldn't open the doors due to water pressure. The boat took her to the highway and she had the baby in the ambulance. Too close of a call if you ask me.
