Hi boardboss is it possible to creat sub cats inside each section of the forum.

 

also is it possible to add a chat room feature?

 

I can't post this in suggestions section as no new topic button :(

Hi!

Well, for the chat room I have to say sorry, the only thing you can do here is use an external chat system, there are several free ones available on the net.

What do you mean with 'sub categories inside each section', please give an example

well for instance on my forum i currently have

with everything all jumbled as far as subject. with sub catergories it could be

Xbox gaming news and reviews

    Halo3

        thread

    Gears of war

       thread

   Major nelson says

        thread

 

Just to make things more organised so rather then just a list of threads people can find it easier to browse what their looking for?

Well, if you mean something like we have in the news section on our support forum here, than thats doable. You have the 'Subforum start' and the 'Subforum end' when you add a new forum to your index. These should help you.

Not quite what i meant from look of the news section I was thinking more along lines of

Heading of section

    Sub heading1 inside section

        Threads on this subject

   Sub heading 2 insisde section

      Threads on this subject

 

I take it thats not possible then? If not it's not a big problem I just wondered if it was possible

Ah now I think I got you, you mean something like a forum treeview, that some have. Yeah, I'm afraid we do not have anything like that over here yet.
