Hi -

For over a week now, I haven't been able to get into my forum ( http://hondos.org/forum/Forum.asp?FId=244 ).  (Some of the other members of the group are having the same problem, some aren't.  When I click on the link, I get this page:

FORUM/FORUM.ASP?FID=244

The page cannot be found

The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

Please try the following:

  • Make sure that the Web site address displayed in the address bar of your browser is spelled and formatted correctly.
  • If you reached this page by clicking a link, contact the Web site administrator to alert them that the link is incorrectly formatted.
  • Click the Back button to try another link.

HTTP Error 404 - File or directory not found.
Internet Information Services (IIS)

Technical Information (for support personnel)

  • Go to Microsoft Product Support Services and perform a title search for the words HTTP and 404.
  • Open IIS Help, which is accessible in IIS Manager (inetmgr), and search for topics titled Web Site Setup, Common Administrative Tasks, and About Custom Error Messages.

I am also having problems getting to other pages in Hondos and I can't seem to get an email to you at any address - they have all been returned as undeliverable.  Help!

Thank you for any help you can give me.

Karen

Hi!

The link to your forum is http://hondos.org/forumx/forum.aspx?fid=244

We switched server a week ago, i guess we lost the redirects from our old system (which I redid now, so your old link will also work again).

We also removed our email addresses because support via email is no longer possible because of huge amount of spam as soon as an email address is published on the web.

We will have a web based email system instead of email.

Yay!!  I can get in again!  Thank you so much for your help!  I clicked on the old link out of habit this morning, and there was my forum!  Does that mean we can continue to use the old link, or should we all switch to the new one in your post?

A few other questions:

My messages on the support board are not formatting correctly.  After they're posted, about a third of them is off the page.  Is this a problem with my computer?

When I tried to sign in with my name and password, I wasn't recognized.  Have I completely forgotten my information, or is there a problem with that part of the system?

Thank you again!!

Karen

Hi Karen!

Switching to the new one is not a must, you will be redirected to the new system anyway, but it might be a good idea.

About the formating: this can happen when you copy&paste html pages and is no problem with your computer.

Login should work, there's nothing wrong as far as I know
